Northern Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Critical Care and Emergency team at Ksyen Regional Hospital in beautiful Terrace, BC.

In this agile role, you will provide and coordinate patient-centered nursing care in accordance with current professional standards and the clinical specialty of Critical Care and Emergency/Ambulatory Care Nursing. Successful candidates will have the knowledge, confidence, and clinical experience required to work independently in both ICU and Emergency settings while supporting patient care throughout the acute care environment.

What You'll Do

- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill and emergency patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care interventions.
- Operate and manage specialized critical care equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Support the orientation and mentorship of new staff.
- Perform designated tasks on the Acute Care Unit as assigned by the Head Nurse/In-Charge.

Qualifications





- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing RN.
- Minimum two (2) years of medical/surgical experience and/or a Post-Diploma Certificate in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPR (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Clinical experience that supports independent practice in both ICU and Emergency settings.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.

Additional Requirement: Applicants without formal Emergency/Critical Care training and/or equivalent experience will be expected to enroll in an Emergency or Critical Care course within six months of receiving the position. Why Choose Northern Health?
