Role Description

Lanmark is seeking a full-time Intermediate EIC P.Eng. for our Calgary office.

This is a hands-on engineering design role. We need someone who can personally develop electrical, instrumentation and controls designs and generate complete redline packages for drafting. We are not looking for someone whose experience has primarily been overseeing, managing, coordinating or reviewing work completed by others.

Responsibilities include

- Personally develop EIC designs from scope definition through IFC
- Generate clear, complete and technically sound drawing redlines for drafting
- Prepare electrical calculations, equipment sizing, specifications, datasheets, bills of material and technical documentation
- Design power distribution, motor controls, grounding, instrumentation, control systems and hazardous-area installations
- Back-check drafted drawings against the design and redlines
- Resolve client comments, RFIs, vendor questions and field issues




- Coordinate directly with clients, drafting and other engineering disciplines
- Perform field verification and incorporate actual site conditions into the design
- Professionally review and authenticate EIC deliverables
- Support estimates, schedules, construction and commissioning

Qualifications
- Registered P.Eng. in Alberta, or immediately eligible for registration
- Approximately 5–10 years of relevant industrial EIC design experience
- Demonstrated experience personally producing electrical and instrumentation designs—not only managing or reviewing them
- Ability to show and explain specific drawing packages, calculations and redline designs personally completed
- Working knowledge of the CEC, applicable CSA standards, hazardous-location requirements and client specifications
- Experience with oil and gas pipelines, measurement facilities, compressor stations or other brownfield facilities is preferred
- Strong technical judgment, attention to detail and clear communication
- Able to identify missing information, raise concerns early and carry assigned work through to a complete deliverable

Candidates should be prepared to discuss and present specific EIC deliverables they personally designed, calculated and redlined.
