ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY- INTERMEDIATE DESIGNER The Intermediate Designer is responsible for designing and developing electrical systems that meet customer and business requirements. This role supports projects from concept and quotation through design, documentation, installation, and final turnover while ensuring high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design electrical schematics and technical drawings for customers and internal projects.
- Prepare technical documentation, demolition and construction drawings, and maintain accurate design records.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define project requirements and deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL
- Strong experience with electrical design, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Proficiency with CAD and electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The position requires a CAD/CAD Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent education in engineering design and technology, and 3+ years of pertinent experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates from Saskatoon and Regina. Why You'll Love Working at TPS
