Position Overview: We’re looking for a contractor to work in the Vancouver office on the IT Service desk team.
This candidate should also possess some basic deskside support experience, as they will be required to provide coverage when our local IT Deskside Analyst is on vacation or otherwise unavailable. In this capacity, they will serve as the local point of contact and provide hands-on support for our FTE Deskside Analyst across our remote office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve Level 1 support requests.
- Log, track, and update incidents through the ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure and deploy end-user devices.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Escalate complex issues to specialized teams.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base articles.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications are an asset:
- CompTIA A+
- ITIL Foundation
- Microsoft Certified Fundamentals
- HDI Support Center Analyst
Experience
- 1 to 3+ years of IT helpdesk, desktop support, or technical support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows environments.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Zendesk, or Remedy.
- Experience in a corporate or enterprise environment is preferred.

- Windows 10/11 support and troubleshooting.
- Microsoft 365 administration and support (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).

- Basic networking knowledge

- VPN connectivity
- Remote support tools ( NinjaOne, MS Teams, etc.).

- Excellent verbal and written communication with friendly personality.
- Solid customer-focused approach.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities.
