Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Architectural Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will support architects and project teams by preparing technical drawings, construction documents, and Building Information Models (BIM) for a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. This position is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to build technical expertise while contributing to innovative architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using Revit and AutoCAD.

- Assist in developing construction documents and permit application packages.

- Create and maintain Building Information Models (BIM) throughout project development.

- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering consultants.

- Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning bylaws, and industry standards.

- Support architects and project managers throughout the design and construction process.

- Revise drawings based on client feedback, consultant coordination, and site conditions.

- Participate in project meetings and document technical decisions.

- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor project progress.

- Organize and maintain project documentation and drawing records.

- Assist with material selection, specifications, and construction detailing.

Qualifications





- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.

- 0–3 years of experience in an architectural or engineering environment.

- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

- Familiarity with BIM workflows and construction documentation.

- Basic knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and construction practices.

- Strong attention to detail and technical drafting skills.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Navisworks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, or Adobe Creative Suite.

- Understanding of sustainable building practices and LEED principles.

- Familiarity with 3D visualization and rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion, or Twinmotion.

- Knowledge of municipal permit approval processes.

- Membership or eligibility for membership with a provincial architectural technology association is considered an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
