Good Robot Brewing

Elmsdale

Location: Elmsdale, NS

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $19.30 / Hour

About Good Robot Brewing Co.

At Good Robot, we're building something bigger than beer.

We're building a team that shows up for each other, takes ownership, and gets the job done right.

We're a group of people who believe in:

- Camaraderie – We show up for each other
- Ownership – No excuses. We solve the problem
- Good Times, Serious Work – We work hard, have fun, and continuously improve

About the Role We're looking for a Part-Time Junior Cellar Tech to support our cellar operations while learning the craft of beverage production.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a career in brewing or beverage production. You'll work alongside experienced team members learning brewing processes, while helping maintain the cleanliness, organization, and quality standards that keep production running smoothly.

No brewing experience? That's okay! If you're reliable, eager to learn, and willing to work hard, we'll teach you the technical skills.

What You'll Do

- Assist with daily cellar operations including hose setup, tank preparations, cleaning, and sanitation
- Support beer transfers, carbonation, blending, and kegging activities under guidance
- Clean and sanitize tanks, equipment, hoses, and production areas following Standard Operating Procedures
- Learn Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures and safe chemical handling practices
- Maintain keg inventory and ensure kegs are cleaned and ready for production
- Complete production records and logs accurately
- Identify and report quality concerns or equipment issues promptly
- Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures

- Participate in daily production huddles and ongoing training
- Jump in wherever needed to support the production team

What We're Looking For We're more interested in how you work than whether you've worked in a brewery before.

We're looking for someone who:

- Shows up on time and follows through on commitments
- Enjoys physical, hands-on work
- Works safely and takes pride in doing things the right way
- Asks questions and enjoys learning new skills
- Works well with others and contributes positively to the team
- Communicates clearly and isn’t afraid to ask for clarification
- Takes ownership of mistakes and looks for solutions
- Pays attention to detail and maintains high standards of cleanliness

Requirements

- Ability to frequently move up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Able to work in a wet, noisy manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
- Willing to wear PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hair nets, and steel-toe boots
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends if production requires

Nice To Have

- Experience in manufacturing, food production, brewing, or warehousing
- Forklift certification
- Mechanical aptitude or experience using production equipment

What You'll Get

- Hands-on training in commercial brewing and cellar operations
- Opportunity to build valuable technical manufacturing skills
- A supportive team that values ownership, accountability, and camaraderie

- Work that keeps you active and engaged
- Opportunities for growth as the business continues to expand
- Staff discounts and perks
