Inc. is an industry leader in project management and development management services. Our client base includes developers, landowner groups, builders, institutional land owners, and municipalities. Our company is highly specialized and has been providing services to the leaders in the private and public sectors involved in the land development industry for more than 30 years.

The preferred candidate will have recently graduated from a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related program. This role is intended to support the engineering practice of Delta, which provides design, project coordination, and construction management services for private development and municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, servicing infrastructure, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and related civil works.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Director and Project Manager(s), Engineering staff, clients, municipal staff, contractors, and consulting teams to assist with the advancement of projects through design, approvals, tendering, construction, and close-out stages.

As project requirements vary, the candidate's involvement may extend beyond the tasks identified below. In addition to engineering project coordination, the successful candidate may assist with project management, contract administration, construction coordination, financial tracking, reporting, and general administrative functions related to engineering and infrastructure projects.

Duties

- Provide assistance and support to the Project Director and Project Manager(s), and Engineering team;
- Assist with the coordination of private development and municipal engineering projects, including roads, servicing infrastructure, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and related civil works;
- Attend project meetings with clients, municipal and regional staff, agencies, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders as required;
- Attend site visits, construction meetings, pre-construction meetings, progress meetings,



and deficiency inspections as required;
- Assist with tracking project deliverables, approvals, design submissions, comments, responses, conditions, and outstanding action items;
- Support the preparation and coordination of engineering submissions, including drawings, reports, cost estimates, schedules, technical memoranda, tender documents, and construction-related documentation;
- Assist in the review, organization, and tracking of engineering drawings, servicing plans, grading plans, stormwater management materials, utility information, and related project documentation;
- Assist with the preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, action lists, work plans, project schedules, correspondence, and status updates;
- Assist with the coordination of design, approvals, tendering, construction, and contract administration processes;
- Support construction management activities, including progress tracking, site documentation, contractor coordination, deficiency tracking, change order tracking, payment certificate support, and project close-out documentation;
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project timelines, construction schedules, approval schedules, and project tracking tools;
- Assist with financial tracking, cost summaries, budget updates, progress claims, invoicing support, and project-related reporting as required;
- Become familiar with development and infrastructure-related agreements, including Cost Sharing Agreements, Funding Agreements, Subdivision Agreements, Servicing Agreements, Municipal Agreements, and construction contracts;
- Carry out tasks in accordance with project work plans, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules;
- Develop a working knowledge of municipal engineering standards, development engineering processes, infrastructure servicing, construction practices, and project delivery requirements;
- Assist with general administrative work, including filing, organizing, cataloguing,



document management, accounts, and project records as required.

Skills

- Recent graduate of an accredited university program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline;
- Meets the academic requirements to pursue Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure in Ontario and is eligible to register as an Engineering Intern (EIT) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO);
- Strong interest in civil engineering, municipal infrastructure, land development engineering, road design, servicing, construction, and project management;
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to undertake assigned tasks with appropriate guidance and progressively increasing responsibility;
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, and multidisciplinary project environment;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and related Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, GIS, MS Project, or other engineering, design, or project management software is considered an asset;
- Familiarity with municipal engineering standards, construction drawings, specifications, tender documents, or contract administration is considered an asset;
- Membership or eligibility for membership with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or another relevant professional organization is considered an asset;
- A background or interest in financial administration, budgeting, cost tracking, project reporting, or project controls is considered an asset;
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and access to a reliable automobile are required.
