At Twig & Timber Interiors, we specialize in full-service residential renovations and custom homes, guiding our clients from the initial concept through to the final styling. Our projects are highly detailed, thoughtfully designed, and centered around creating homes that are as functional as they are beautiful.

We're looking for a Junior Interior Designer who is excited to learn, enjoys both the creative and technical sides of design, and wants to be part of a studio where they'll gain meaningful, hands-on experience.

This is an independent contractor position with the opportunity to grow alongside our business.

About You

You're someone who:

- Has a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design (or equivalent)
- Enjoys creating beautiful, functional spaces
- Loves technical drawings just as much as design concepts
- Is highly organized and detail oriented
- Takes pride in producing accurate work
- Communicates professionally and confidently with clients and trades
- Enjoys collaborating but is also comfortable working independently
- Has a positive attitude and is always looking to learn

Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design (or equivalent)
- Expert-level AutoCAD skills
- Ottawa-based
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Bonus:

- Experience with Google Workspace
- Canva
- Morpholio Trace
- 3D rendering experience

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities may include:

- Assisting with residential renovation and interior design projects
- Preparing detailed AutoCAD drawing packages
- Creating concept & presentation moodboards




- Researching finishes, fixtures and furnishings
- Assisting during client meetings
- Taking site measurements
- Visiting construction sites
- Assisting with project administration
- Supporting installations and styling days

Compensation

- Independent Contractor
- $70/hour (after 3 month probationary period)
- Somewhat Flexible schedule
- Primarily remote with regular in-person meetings, site visits and client appointments throughout the Ottawa area
