Powers Brown Architecture is looking to add a Junior Technologist / Revit Building Technician to our St. John’s, Newfoundland office. This role is ideal for an emerging professional who is passionate about building design, technical detailing, and developing strong production skills within a collaborative architectural team environment.

The Junior Technologist will support project teams in the development of architectural drawings and models, assist in the preparation of construction documents, and contribute to maintaining drafting standards and documentation quality. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple project types while working alongside senior technologists, project managers and architects.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings and 3D models using Revit
- Support the development of construction documents and detailed assemblies
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to interpret design requirements and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate and integrate consultant backgrounds into architectural models
- Maintain drawing standards, templates, and file organization
- Assist with permit submission packages and supporting documentation




- Participate in internal project coordination meetings
- Support site review documentation and construction administration tasks as required
- Contribute to quality control reviews and drawing revisions

Skills

- Degree/Diploma in Architectural Technology (P.Tech), a degree in Architecture, or related programs.
- 0–3 years of experience in an architectural or consulting office (co-op experience considered an asset)
- Proficiency in Revit (required)
- Basic understanding of construction assemblies and detailing
- Familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada (NBC 2020 considered an asset)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to take direction while working independently
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace
