A global machinery manufacturer is seeking a Laser Field Service Technician to join a leading industrial machinery company. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically and electrically skilled professionals who enjoy travel, problem-solving, and hands-on technical work. Thisis a direct hire and permanent position.

Location: Candidates must be based in Calgary, Winnipeg, Mississauga, or the Quebec City area , and reside within one hour of a major airport .

Laser Field Service Technician Job Duties :

- Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial laser machining equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform in office repairs.
- Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Provide technical support to customers both on-site and remotely.
- Document service activities, repairs, and recommendations.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical expertise.
- Other duties as assigned

Laser Field Service Technician Qualifications:

- Associate's Degree or Technical Diploma preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, Laser cutting machines experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems,



including bearings, ball screws, gears, and motion systems.
- Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Comfortable working at heights when required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

Laser Field Service Technician Requirements:

- 100% travel Monday through Friday (home on weekends).
- Travel throughout Canada and the United States , with occasional international travel.
- Daily per diem provided while traveling.
- Candidates must live within one hour of a major airport in one of the following areas:
- Calgary, AB
- Winnipeg, MB
- Mississauga, ON
- Quebec City, QC area
- Must be eligible to enter customer facilities, including Canadian and U.S. federal/government facilities , which may require successfully passing applicable background or security screening.
- Ability to travel extensively by air and operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
