SUMMARY

Precision Grounds is located in Stayner, Ontario. We are looking for 1 LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION LABOURER to join our team. Previous experience required. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable person, who wants to broaden their skills and build a career in this industry, and grow with our company.

A Landscape Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labor) to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects. The landscape laborer will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specific job tasks. No related landscaping experience required.

MUST HAVE

- Willingness to work outdoors in ever changing weather conditions
- Must be able to stand, bend, or crouch/kneel repeatedly and for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks, including ability to lift 30-50lbs repeatedly throughout a work shift
- Must be able to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
- Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
- Be able to learn quickly about specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Provide polite and compassionate client service
- Demonstrate exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
- Have a positive outlook and professional appearance

JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project
- Operate various tools and equipment, including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
- Assist in the construction of stone work, plantings, lighting & landscape features.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
- Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying
- Assist supervisor with job-related tasks
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Comply with all company policies and regulations
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

WORK CONDITIONS:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Job requires good manual dexterity and stamina
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
- Easy going but hard-working team environment

COMPENSATION:
- TBD depending on level of skill and experience

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
