Law Library and Legal Research Technician

YOUR ROLE:
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Conducting targeted research by leveraging expertise in legal research and the use of available information resources;
- Ensuring the quality and accessibility of documentary resource collections;
- Coordinating and monitoring the dissemination of legislative, case law, and media watch reports;
- Organizing, and supporting documentation activities;
- Preparing various documents and reports.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- University education combined with relevant experience in a legal environment;
- Degree in Law, Library and Information Science, or a related field;
- Proven experience in legal research and strong knowledge of legal and business information sources,
both electronic and print;
- Experience in a law library, including management responsibilities;
- Experience in legal research and strong knowledge of legal or business information sources, both digital and print;
- Proficiency in using online resources and legal research tools (Lexis+, CAIJ);
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
- Solid communication and customer service skills;
- Keeps up to date with advancements and trends in information services and technologies;
- Strong analytical, communication, and client service skills;
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple files simultaneously;
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
