Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Experienced Dispatcher to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will coordinate and oversee the dispatching of freight and transportation services, ensuring seamless communication between drivers, clients, and warehouse personnel. Your leadership will drive efficiency in our supply chain operations, utilizing advanced transportation management systems and data entry tools.

Duties

- Lead and manage the daily dispatch operations, assigning freight loads to drivers based on priority, location, and delivery windows
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as SyteLine or similar platforms to schedule, track, and optimize shipments
- Monitor shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining accuracy through detailed data entry
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Analyze freight data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and enhanced service levels
- Oversee shipping documentation,



compliance procedures, and freight tracking within AS400 or equivalent systems
- Provide leadership in training team members on dispatch procedures, system usage, and customer service standards

Experience

- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) such as SyteLine or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight operations, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and related documentation requirements
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data for operational improvements
- Demonstrated proficiency in data entry, typing speed, and multi-line phone systems
- Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Experience working with AS400 or comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus
