Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Overheard Door Installer to oversee and coordinate the installation of overhead doors across various construction projects. This role is vital in ensuring that installations are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. As a leader on the team, you will guide a crew of installers, interpret schematics and blueprints, and ensure all work aligns with project specifications.

Your expertise will help deliver durable, functional overhead doors that meet client expectations and industry standards.

Duties

- Lead and supervise a team of installers during overhead door installation projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within safety guidelines
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installations
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to install, adjust, and repair overhead doors, ensuring proper alignment and operation
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to project timelines
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the installation process to identify issues early and implement corrective actions
- Perform related tasks such as caulking, sealing, restoration work, construction painting, plumbing connections, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying as needed for comprehensive project completion




- Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently during every phase of installation

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Solid construction experience with a focus on carpentry and blueprint reading
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing and sealing overhead doors
- Experience in restoration work, including painting and general repairs
- Familiarity with plumbing connections related to door automation systems
- Welding skills for custom bracket or frame adjustments when necessary
- Expertise in flooring installation and tile laying for finishing touches around door installations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide a team effectively
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, and other trades
