Position Summary
Ever felt like you’re drowning in stress? Water damage in a home or business is one of the most stressful events our clients might ever experience.
Lead Water Damage Technicians at On Side do the work to evaporate water-related stress, bringing calm, order and dryness to all!
Understanding the urgency of the situation and working with customers in a caring, calm and empathetic manner are paramount to the success of a Lead WDTs day!
Working as a team, WDTs mop up the mess to ensure everything is shipshape and ready to get back to the pre-disaster state.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $21-$27/hour
- Overtime opportunities (where applicable)

What You’ll Do
- Team guidance and mentorship: Leading by example, coaching team members, and ensuring efficient workflow
- Hands-on proficiency: Working directly on the tools while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Perform demolition of affected structures and materials
- Set up and monitor drying equipment
- Clean and restore areas impacted by water-related disasters
- Complete restoration tasks
- Support emergency mitigation efforts as needed
What You Bring
- Leadership abilities and experience leading a team
- IICRC for Professional Water Damage Restoration certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of structural drying procedures and ability to perform multi-unit assessments in accordance with IICRC guidelines
- Technical expertise: Experienced with all drying tools (air movers,
negative air machines, pressurized drying systems, floor drying systems, dehumidifiers)
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable using apps and software for documentation and reporting
- Problem-solving under pressure: Quickly assessing challenges and implementing practical solutions
- Willingness to follow all company safety requirements including wearing full PPE as required: Full face masks require clean shave (if applicable)
- Organized and punctual: Strong time management and tool readiness
- Physically fit (heavy lifting, crouching, bending, standing, reaching, maneuvering in small spaces)
- A safety-first mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

- Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
