Hourly Part time and Casual Positions available to support our Licensed Out of School Care Programs

We're looking for passionate Early Childhood Educators (Level 2 & 3) and experienced Site Leads to join our licensed Out of School Care team. Whether you're beginning your career in early learning or are an experienced educator ready to lead a team, we'd love to hear from you.
Successful applicants may be hired as either an Early Childhood Educator or Site Lead, based on experience, qualifications, and leadership skills.
Our licensed Out of School Care programs operate at:
- Leduc Recreation Centre
- Willow Park School
- Linsford Park School
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll help create welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environments where children can learn, play, build friendships, and thrive.
What You'll Do
As part of our team, you'll play an important role in creating exceptional experiences for school-aged children every day.Responsibilities include:
- Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners.
- Planning and facilitating engaging activities including arts, STEM, outdoor play, sports, games, leadership opportunities, and creative programming.
- Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour using strength-based approaches.
- Ensuring Alberta Child Care Licensing requirements, organizational policies, and safety standards are consistently met.
- Completing attendance records, daily documentation, incident reporting, and other required administrative tasks.
- Supporting daily program setup, snack preparation, organization, and cleanup.
- Working collaboratively with teammates to deliver high-quality Out of School Care programming.
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and organizational initiatives.
Leadership Opportunities – Site Leads Applicants with demonstrated leadership experience may be considered for a Site Lead position.In addition to the responsibilities above,
Site Leads provide day-to-day leadership within one of our licensed program locations.Additional responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and support to program staff.
- Coordinating daily program operations and ensuring smooth program delivery.
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members.
- Ensuring Alberta Child Care Licensing requirements are consistently maintained.
- Supporting onboarding and orientation of new staff.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for families during program hours.
- Collaborating with the Operations Manager to continually improve program quality.
- Helping foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture.
Schedule This position is ideal for individuals looking for consistent part-time work that fits around post-secondary studies, family commitments, or other employment.
Typical shifts include: Morning Program
- 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Afternoon Program
- 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

- Summer Programming
- Staff meetings and professional development
- BGC Community Events
Compensation We recognize the value of qualified educators and offer competitive wages, along with the Government of Alberta Early Childhood Educator Wage Top-Up for eligible certified staff.
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1: $18.75/hour (up to $21.39/hour with Alberta ECE Wage Top-Up*)
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 2: $19.75/hour (up to $24.80/hour with Alberta ECE Wage Top-Up*)
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3: $20.75/hour (up to $29.37/hour with Alberta ECE Wage Top-Up*)
- Site Lead: $21.75/hour + applicable Alberta ECE Wage Top-Up*
Note:
- The Alberta Early Childhood Educator Wage Top-Up is funded by the Government of Alberta and is separate from the employee's base wage.
- Eligibility and top-up amounts are subject to current provincial funding guidelines.

Qualifications
Required
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR (Level C)
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current Alberta Child Intervention Record Check
- Reliable transportation to assigned work location
- Fluent in both English speaking and writing
Preferred:
- Experience working with school-aged children.
- Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Leadership or supervisory experience (Site Lead applicants).
