Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair gas appliances, piping, and systems according to safety standards and regulations
- Conduct routine maintenance on boilers, HVAC systems, and other gas-powered equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Perform welding and plumbing tasks necessary for system repairs or upgrades
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and mechanical knowledge
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
- Document all service activities thoroughly in reports and logs for future reference
Skills
- Proven experience with plumbing, welding, boiler systems, and HVAC equipment
- Robust mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding building codes and installation procedures
- Mechanic experience related to appliance repair or machinery maintenance is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Valid licensing as a Gas Technician is required; additional certifications in appliance repair or construction are advantageous
