Western Canadian Building Solutions Ltd. (WCBS) is one of Western Canada's fastest-growing design-build construction companies specializing in agricultural, commercial, industrial, and residential post-frame and pre-engineered steel buildings. We provide complete turnkey building solutions, including design, engineering, concrete, structural construction, mechanical systems, and finishing.

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Licensed Plumber with a valid Gasfitter ticket to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Install plumbing systems in commercial, agricultural, and residential projects.
- Install and commission natural gas and propane systems.
- Complete rough-in and final plumbing installations.
- Install in-floor hydronic heating systems.
- Install water distribution, drainage, and venting systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to maintain project schedules.
- Ensure all work meets current Alberta Plumbing and Gas Code requirements.
- Perform pressure testing, inspections, and system commissioning.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organized worksite.

Qualifications Required

- Journeyman Plumber Certification
- Valid Gasfitter Class A or Class B Ticket
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
- Experience with commercial and agricultural construction




- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to travel throughout Alberta and occasionally neighboring provinces

Preferred

- Experience with post-frame or pre-engineered steel buildings
- Experience installing hydronic heating systems
- Equipment operation experience is considered an asset
