The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver is currently recruiting enthusiastic Swim Instructors and Lifeguards to join our professional Aquatics team!

Duties & Responsibilities

- Responsible for the safety and instruction of Members and Guests using the pool at the JCC
- First responder in case of an emergency and providing First Aid as needed throughout the facility
- Passion for teaching swimming lessons and working with children and adults
- Perform maintenance and related work, as required
- Versatile schedule. Regular part-time hours are available. Most shifts will include a mix of instruction and lifeguarding duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Lifesaving Swim Instructor
- National Lifeguard (NL Pool Option)
- Standard First Aid (within 2 years)
- CPR C / AED (within 1 year)
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Over the age of 16

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a lifeguard, instructor or coach




- Previous experience working with children & youth
- Previous experience as a First Aid Attendant
- LSI, Aquafit and/or other relevant certifications

Lifeguard rate $22/hour; Instructor rate $24/hour The successful candidate must clear a vulnerable sector criminal record check as a condition of employment.
