Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Supervisor of Lift and Turf Operations, the Fall Lift Attendant will be responsible for supporting lift operations during Conservation Halton’s Fall into Nature events at Kelso Conservation Area in October. This seasonal,



event-based position will help ensure the safe and orderly loading and unloading of guests while providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for visitors using the chair lifts. This position is specific to Fall into Nature programming and is separate from the winter Lift Attendant position. The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Support Lift Operations for Fall into Nature events taking place at Kelso Conservation Area in October
- Maintain safe and orderly loading and unloading of foot traffic on the chair lifts, including assisting guests with limited mobility or unfamiliarity with the lifts
- Provide friendly, professional, and welcoming customer service to guests, including answering questions and assisting guests as needed
- Ensure all guests have a valid lift ticket
- Maintain loading and unloading ramps, signage, and corals to approved standards
- Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the Lift Operations manual and passenger ropeways regulations
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
- Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service and safety
- Previous customer service, lift operations, and skiing and/or snowboarding experience is an asset
- Professional, energetic, and reliable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle difficult situations while remaining calm under pressure
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, on varied terrain.
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Successful candidates must complete Bullwheel Training prior to first day of employment *Training provided by Conservation Halton
- CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation.

- Working hours will vary and will include weekends and holidays.
