We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks including order picking, packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 software
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of goods to ensure proper storage and order fulfillment
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by handling materials, tools, and equipment as required




- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and updates in warehouse management systems
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures

Skills

- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or other heavy equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, packaging, shipping & receiving
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software for inventory tracking and order processing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order fulfillment tasks
- Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus for understanding material handling requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a quick-paced environment
