Pacific Horizon Logistics Ltd is seeking a strategic Logistics Planning Manager to oversee the planning and optimization of transportation, inventory flow, and distribution operations across our Canadian logistics network. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products move efficiently from suppliers to customers while balancing service excellence, operational costs, and capacity planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop logistics strategies that support business growth and enhance supply chain resilience.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage logistics planning strategies that improve transportation efficiency and distribution performance.
- Forecast logistics capacity requirements by analysing shipment volumes, seasonal demand, and operational trends.
- Coordinate transportation schedules, warehouse allocation, and inventory movement to maximise network efficiency.
- Evaluate logistics data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost savings.
- Partner with procurement, warehouse, customer service, and operations teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
- Lead contingency planning initiatives to minimise disruptions caused by transportation delays, supplier issues, or changing market conditions.
- Prepare operational reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership to support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in logistics planning,



transportation management, supply chain operations, or distribution planning.
- Strong knowledge of transportation networks, inventory management, freight operations, and logistics optimisation principles.
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and supply chain analytics tools.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage competing operational priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities in a cooperative business environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional designations such as CITT, CCLP, APICS/ASCM, CSCMP, or PMP are considered strong assets.
