Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Long Haul Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be essential to keeping our operations smooth and efficient.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, including delivery logs, freight manifests, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability during trips.
- Follow company policies on safety procedures, hours of service regulations, and cargo security protocols.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation over long distances.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment used for loading and unloading freight.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and transportation logistics.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks.
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance requirements.
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
