Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks for long-haul routes across regions, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Manage city deliveries efficiently, including loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Secure freight properly during transit to prevent damage or loss, utilizing appropriate tie-downs and safety protocols




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle performance and reduce downtime
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse teams, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul trucking and city deliveries
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for secure transportation
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to support vehicle maintenance
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and safety checks
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy machinery, and perform inspections as required
