a complex care facility located in Oceanside Parksville, BC. We are a preferred location for those needing long term care. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Worker immediately who can fulfil a part-time position that is available Wednesday - Saturday from 8:30am - 4:30pm. We are seeking members that are committed to providing high quality care with a desire to work in a family-based community environment.

Arrowsmith Lodge is an Accredited unionized facility, and is a non-profit organization funded fully by Island Health.

Job Duties: This position includes maintenance duties related to buildings, grounds and equipment in a variety of areas such as electrical, plumbing and painting in compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and other related duties as per the HEU Collective Agreements. This job is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The applicant must be able to stand/kneel for extended periods of time, lift and carry heavy objects, and do repetitive tasks.

Job Qualifications: Grade 10 plus one year's recent experience in a Residential Facility preferable.

The Maintenance Worker will be working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
