Job Summary
Global Ramen is a Japanese restaurant specializing in Nagoya-style Taiwan Mazesoba. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily restaurant operations. This is an active, floor-based management position. The successful candidate must be comfortable working alongside the team and stepping into any position when needed, including serving customers, assisting in the kitchen, preparing food, cleaning.
Duties
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations
- Lead and support both front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Work hands-on during service and assist wherever needed
- Manage and supervise staff during shifts
- Train, coach, and support new and existing employees
- Maintain high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness
- Handle customer concerns professionally
- Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies
- Help control food costs, waste, and labour costs
- Prepare staff schedules and manage shift coverage
- Handle opening and closing procedures
- Ensure cash handling and POS procedures are followed correctly
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties when required
- Assist with serving, cleaning tables, and takeout orders when required
- Assist with washing dishes and general cleaning as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant
- Communicate directly with ownership regarding operations, staffing, and any issues
Requirements
- Previous hands-on restaurant management experience is required
- Strong understanding of both front-of-house and kitchen operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Willing and able to work alongside the team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, responsible, and organized
- Experience with staff scheduling, inventory, and cost control
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Food safety certification is required or must be obtained
- ProServe certification is an asset
- Must be available to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
