Full Time 12 Month Contract

Location

Remote – On Site rotation. Northern Saskatchewan, Athabasca Basin.

Position description The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for the oversight and continuous development of the Health, Safety and Environmental program. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs and initiatives to ensure the health and safety of our employees, compliance with relevant regulations, and environmental sustainability programs. The HSE Manager will work closely with operations and management to promote HSE and a strong safety culture in all the locations.

Education, Skills, and Experience

- 4 + years of practical related experience
- NCSO certified
- Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSP) is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Experience in a mining or exploration environment preferred
- Experience with field service an asset
- Computer literacy, including MS Office suite

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continually improve health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Creation and revisions of secure job procedures, safe work practices and hazard assessment and analysis.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to employees on health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures,



and practices to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventative measures to reduce the risk of recurrence.
- Manage the documentation and record-keeping processes related to health, safety, and environmental compliance, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
- Support and mentorship for employees in their contributions and inputs to the safety program.
- Oversight of contractor management and compliance.
- Conduct Training sessions and Toolbox Meetings when applicable.
- Any other job related, and support activity duties as required.
- Flexibility in working periods of overtime with travel to site locations.
- Standard First Aid Level C, with CPR/AED.
- Valid Drivers’ License.
- Valid Drivers’ Abstract.
- H2S Alive Certification (Energy Safety Certification).
- CSTS 2020.
- WHMIS 2015.

Schedule:
- Rotation based on coverage requiremnets

Work Location: Remote Camp Accommodations and Meals provided

Job Type: Full-time Contract – 12 months with potential extension

Renumeration based on skills and experience

Vehicle or Vehicle allowance provided

Expected hours: 12 hours/ day - 84 hours per week. Split shift may be required based on jobsite requirements

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
