Insight Global is looking for a Manager, Building Systems to lead a highly complex, site-based facilities operation in a regulated manufacturing workplace. This role oversees building systems, maintenance, calibration, utilities, energy management, compliance, and team leadership to support safe and reliable site operations.

The Manager, Building Systems is responsible for the day-to-day and long-term operation of facility systems across the site, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, glycol, steam, diesel generators, and other critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong technical credibility, confident communication, and the ability to guide a large team in a high-demand environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and prioritize the Building Systems team to support safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant facility operations.
- Manage and develop direct reports, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, calibration, upgrades, and optimization of critical building systems and facility equipment.
- Plan and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled work to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Ensure work is properly documented, approved, and maintained in accordance with GMP, compliance, and safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and staff training programs.
- Support facilities planning, design reviews, and future-state improvements for equipment and site infrastructure.




- Manage assigned projects and support related budget, tender, contract, purchase, payment, and reconciliation activities.
- Oversee cost center budget management, variance reporting, and fiscal control.
- Lead utilities, energy management, environmental, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent the department cross-functionally and provide facilities expertise as needed.
- Promote strong communication, accountability, employee development, and teamwork.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and corporate values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experiences:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years managing a large-scale facility/physical plant (100,000+ sq. ft. preferred).
- Experience in a complex manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, steam, glycol, generators, and purified water systems.
- Expertise in energy management, facility operations, and maintenance.
- Experience with GMP/cGMP and regulatory standards (FDA, Health Canada, USP, ISPE).
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Technically credible with the ability to lead skilled trades and engineering professionals.
