Overview

We are seeking a motivated Manual Milling Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate manual milling machines to produce precision components, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your machining skills within a supportive environment committed to craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

- Calibrate, set up and operate a manual lathe, milling machine, turning and cutting machine
- Work with a variety of metal materials
- Able to read, use vernier, tap measure, micrometer
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and manufacturing specifications accurately while also calculating dimensions needed for job
- Inspect and oversee maintenance workstation to ensure the machine and other equipment is in working order
- Set up the machine and load materials into it
- During machine operation, be able to ensure that the tool, designs, uses, repairs and maintence
- Mathematics knowledge of arithmetic and different calculations, able to take measurements
- Using precision tools, inspecting parts, attaining production goals, maintain clean and safe workstation and workplace




- Adjust machine settings to achieve desired cuts and finishes while maintaining safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and quality checks
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and inspection results

Qualifications
- Proven experience operating manual milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, CAD software, and CNC programming basics
- Ability to use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers effectively
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances
- Knowledge of CNC systems is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work safely using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation if certified
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, assembly processes, and welding techniques is advantageous

Job is full-time permanent, Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm. Opportunity for overtime on Saturdays when required. Must provide own safety shoes. After 3 months, will be provided with uniform. Chance for dental and health care.

Wages are based on experience.
