Women’s Health MOA

Full-time | Rosewall Women’s Clinic | Courtenay, BC

$23–25/hour

Rosewall Women’s Clinic is seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant to serve as the primary point person for our women’s health clinic. This is a dedicated, specialized role within a larger, well-supported practice.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly motivated and organized, and values meaningful patient work in a positive and collaborative clinic environment.

About the Clinic

Rosewall Women’s Clinic is staffed by a team of five female family physicians providing specialized women’s health services to the Comox Valley and surrounding communities.

Our work is thoughtful, patient-centred, and often sensitive in nature. We value professionalism, compassion, and explicit communication, and we are intentional about creating roles that are well-defined, supported, and sustainable.

You’ll work mostly independently day-to-day, while collaborating closely with the clinic general manager, physician lead, and a dedicated clinic runner who prepares the clinical aspects of the day.

The Role

As the Women’s Health Clinic Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for the smooth administrative flow and coordination of the clinic processes, including:

- Acting as the primary administrative contact for Rosewall Women’s Clinic
- Managing incoming referrals and faxes, including appropriate triage
- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
- Communicating professionally with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and external partners

- Collaborating with the clinic general manager and physician lead to support clinic flow, volume, and outreach when needed

Billing is not part of this role. Regular professional cleaning services are provided. Clinical Knowledge & Team Coordination A dedicated clinic runner supports the day-to-day clinical preparation for the clinic, for example, room stocking, and urine pregnancy tests. This role does not involve routine clinical task execution.

However, the successful candidate will:

- Maintain familiarity with clinic clinical workflows (e.g., specimen handling, sterilization processes)
- Coordinate closely with the clinic runner to support smooth daily operations
- Step in to provide occasional clinical support only as needed, such as during absences or unexpected volume

Schedule & Workday This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role with predictable daytime hours. The office closes for lunch daily from 12-1pm.

Who This Role Is Best Suited For

This role is a strong fit for someone who:

- Has 3+ years of MOA experience, ideally in specialist or women’s health settings
- Is confident working independently
- Values stability, ownership, and long-term contribution
- Is organized, calm,

and thoughtful in high-responsibility environments
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with patients and colleagues
- Thrives in a role with trust, consistency, and clearly defined scope
- Appreciates and contributes to a positive, respectful, gossip-free team culture
- Values inclusivity and provides patient care with respect for all identities

This is a specialized, long-term position for someone who enjoys being the steady, reliable point person for a focused clinic.

Professional Development

You’ll be included in team huddles and relevant workshops as part of our broader clinic team, with opportunities to continue learning and growing in your role.

Compensation & Benefits

- $23–25/hour, negotiable based on experience
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Extended health benefits (eligibility applies)
- Paid time off
- Company events
- A supportive, respectful team environment with clear expectations

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Benefits

- Extended health care
- Paid time off

Application question(s):
- What interests you about a dedicated, specialized role focused on one clinic rather than a general MOA position?
- People often leave roles for different reasons. What has kept you in past roles, and what has made you decide to move on?
- Compensation for this role is $23–25/hour depending on experience. Does this align with what you’re seeking at this time?
