Position Description The Migration Architect defines the technical approach for enterprise migration and onboarding, ensuring legacy and target platforms can coexist safely during transition.

This role leads migration architecture, cutover and rollback planning, data synchronization, validation, and coordination with solution, integration, and delivery teams.

This role is part of an AI first software engineering organization where Artificial Intelligence is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience leveraging AI to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes using modern AI assisted development practices.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Define and govern the end to end migration architecture for complex modernization initiatives.
- Develop migration strategies, cutover approaches, rollback plans, and migration wave sequencing.
- Design data migration, synchronization, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Define system integration strategies supporting coexistence between legacy and contemporary platforms.
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineering teams, and program leadership to ensure migration readiness.
- Identify technical migration risks and develop mitigation strategies to support business continuity.
- Lead migration architecture reviews, technical validation, and production readiness assessments.
- Leverage AI assisted engineering practices and BMAD to improve migration planning and execution.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

- 10+ years of experience designing enterprise solution or migration architectures.
- Strong experience leading large scale application modernization and migration initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in data architecture, data migration, and enterprise data integration.
- Strong experience with enterprise system integration, APIs, messaging, and distributed application environments.




- Experience developing migration strategies, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and migration governance.
- Experience with cloud native architectures and enterprise modernization, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working within AI enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC) environments.
- Experience using the Business Model Assisted Development (BMAD) framework or a comparable AI native software delivery methodology.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, enterprise architecture, and modern software engineering practices.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Telecommunications industry experience.
- Experience leading mission critical migration or platform replacement programs.
- Experience integrating legacy enterprise platforms with modern cloud native solutions.
- Experience with container platforms, Kubernetes, and event driven architectures.
- TOGAF, Microsoft Azure, or Enterprise Architecture certifications.
- Experience within highly regulated industries.
- Experience leveraging AI assisted engineering tools to improve migration planning and technical delivery.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,000–$165,000. This role is an existing vacancy. Together, as owners,
