Overview

Fairview Glen Montessori is seeking caring, reliable, and energetic Montessori Teacher Assistant to join our team, in Burlington. Fairview Glen serves children from 18 months through Grade 8. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, promotes positive social interactions, and helps create a secure and welcoming environment for children 18 months to 3 years old in the Toddler program; and 3 to 6 years old in the Casa program.

Responsibilities

- Supervise students in classroom, lunch, recess, transition periods and routines as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Encourage respectful behaviour and positive conflict resolution
- Communicate professionally with staff and administration
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and orderly environment
- Follow school safety policies and procedures
- Assist in school and duties as needed

Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience working with children in a school, camp, daycare, or recreational setting
- Strong supervision and classroom management skills
- A warm, patient,



and professional approach with children of different age groups
- The ability to work collaboratively with educators and staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities
- CPR/First Aid certification
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Immunizations up-to-date
- Experience in an authentic Montessori environment will be considered an asset

Position Details

- Location: Burlington, Ontario

- Full-time position
- Competitive compensation based on experience
