Job Summary

Operate metalworking machines which shape and form sheet metal into parts or products. Will be required to perform a variety of tasks involving physical labour in a manufacturing environment including operation and maintenance of machine tools and perform material handling, packaging, clean-up and other activities. Responsible for the productive production of products according to established procedures in a safe manner following all workplace policies.

Need to be adaptable, flexible, accountable and dependable with good attention to detail, have a quality focus and work well with others.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
- May assist or perform set-up
- Ensure safe work practices are employed at all times
- Follow written procedures, verbal instructions and complete documentation as required
- Monitor production to ensure product quality meets required specifications




- May be required to perform material handling duties manually, via crane, hoist or lift truck
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools as required
- Clean up and preparation of work area
- Follow Company policies, best practices and procedures
- Perform other duties as required by the department supervisor

Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Experience working with quality systems (preferably TS 16949)
