Hanon Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Non Production Buyer to support our Non Production Purchasing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a robust analytical mindset, supply chain knowledge, and a passion for purchasing and supplier management to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proficient in SAP and Excel, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This candidate is responsible for assisting the Non Production purchasing team with quoting and sourcing of OPEX & CAPEX items in support of new business wins, program launches, and day to day operations. The candidate will help ensure purchase orders are processed in a timely manner, supplier relationships are developed, and savings are driven.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process requisitions in ERP system (SAP) in order to generate PO’s.
- Communicate with non-production suppliers in order to formalize quotes.
- Negotiate contracts for services supporting OPEX categories like gases, IT, building construction, security, testing, etc…
- Negotiate price for CAPEX equipment and tooling.
- Negotiate and track savings for OPEX and CAPEX.
- Negotiate payment terms.
- Assist with supplier vendor management process (new registration, banking changes, address changes, etc…).
- Assist with pull ahead payments as required.
- Assist with supplier invoicing as required.
- Participate in meetings to help drive resolution to issue.
- Perform any other assignments or projects as directed by management.




- Infrequent travel may be required (domestic).
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work product is critical.
- Strong data modeling ability using Excel.
- Previous internship experience in Supply Chain.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects and assignments simultaneously.
- High sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills; both written and verbal.
- SAP experience.
