Job Summary

ARCG is a private corporation that provides and coordinates community based services to our clients and their families. Specializing in more complex injury management, from hospital discharge to maximal medical recovery.

We are expanding and we are looking to for you to join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will empower patients to regain independence and improve their quality of life. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs. Your passion for patient care and dedication to rehabilitation will drive meaningful outcomes for individuals of all ages.

Duties

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine therapy needs
- Develop customized treatment plans aimed at improving daily functioning and achieving therapeutic goals
- Deliver hands-on therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to each patient’s condition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies to optimize outcomes




- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety precautions for ongoing recovery
- Document all assessments, interventions, and progress notes accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations

Skills

- Proven experience working in hospital settings with a strong understanding of acute care procedures
- Expertise in case management to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans effectively
- Specialized knowledge for treating people with orthopaedic injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents is preferred
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and motivation
- Strong grasp of medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation and hospital environments
- Ability to thrive in quick-paced settings with acute care experience
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse healthcare teams and educating patients

Qualifications Applicants MUST be a registered occupational therapist in Ontario to be considered for this position.

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
