The City of Edmonton seeks a professional to join the Open Space Strategy team. In this role, you will lead in parks and ecological planning, emphasizing land use principles, policy research, and spatial analysis. You'll drive data-informed strategies that enhance the city’s trails, parks, and natural areas while supporting community engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop plans, standards,
and guidelines for open spaces • Conduct policy research and develop strategic recommendations • Create complex mapping products for spatial analysis • Support public engagement and feedback processes • Review land development applications and prepare reports
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Minimum two years of related experience • Proficiency in GIS and spatial analysis tools • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Knowledge of environmental policy and open space management
