Our client is a highly successful producing mining company, seeking an experienced Operations Controller to join their team in this newly created role. Based at the corporate head office in downtown Vancouver, this position offers regular yet reasonable travel to Mexico.

Our rapidly growing Vancouver-based client is seeking an experienced Operations Controller to join their dynamic and entrepreneurial team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a CPA who enjoys working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting and wants to play a key role in an international organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong IFRS knowledge, exceptional financial reporting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with operational teams, influence business decisions, and contribute to the continued success of a growing international mining organization.

Reporting directly to the CFO and Director of Finance at the corporate head office in Vancouver, you will also collaborate with the Director of Finance and accounting team based in Mexico.



You will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, accounting operations, and consolidations for the company's Mexican entities while providing financial support to operational leadership.

Requirements

- A Canadian CPA designation, or foreign designation with reciprocity and a minimum of 3 years of relevant Canadian experience.

- A strong understanding and hands-on experience with reporting under IFRS.

- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience supporting operations within a producing mining or oil & gas company - Fluency in Spanish.

- Organized, and detail oriented with a passion for continuous learning, - Humble enough to know when to ask for help and to ask questions!

- Bright, detail oriented, able to work independently but with good interpersonal skills to work with this team and build relationships.

- Ability to travel to Mexico on a regular basis.
