Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with Orthodontic Module

At Align Orthodontics, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. We are seeking a professional, caring, and efficient Registered Dental Assistant to join our team.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality clinical care in alignment with Align’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values. You will play a key part in supporting both our Orthodontic and Orofacial Pain / TMJ clinical areas, ensuring our patients receive top-tier treatment in a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Engagement: Provide comprehensive clinical care; engage with patients and inform parents of procedures performed.
- Clinical Excellence: Perform clinical procedures in both Orthodontic and Orofacial Pain/TMJ areas to established standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to Align’s Asepsis Protocols and Occupational Health (OH) standards.
- Record Management: Accurately complete electronic and paper charting; efficiently manage patient schedules (records and clinic) on a daily/rotational basis.
- Clinic Operations: Maintain a clean, organized clinic; support daily, weekly, and monthly stock control and equipment maintenance.
- Team Collaboration: Assist with employee training plans and provide coverage for team members during holidays or illness as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements/ Education & Credentials
- Active Registration: Must be a Registered Dental Assistant with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
- Certification: Ortho Module required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of orthodontic appliances, instruments, materials, equipment, and lab repair/remake procedures.
- Understanding of Orofacial Pain procedures an asset
- Intermediate proficiency in Windows-based computers, patient management, and imaging software.
Skills & Abilities
- Communication: Fluency in written and spoken English with strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Work Ethic: Highly organized, proactive, with excellent task prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical Dexterity: Manual dexterity required to perform clinical procedures and operate computer/medical equipment.
Work Location Requirement This position requires split-location availability, working at both offices weekly:
- At least 1 day per week: Hewes Location
- At least 1 day per week: Sherwood Park Location
- May require travel to our Spruce Grove office if required
