About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Outside Sales Representative to help grow our HVAC and sheet metal fabrication business.

This is a field-based sales position focused on getting in front of HVAC contractors, mechanical contractors, sheet metal contractors, and other industry professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to introduce contractors to our company, generate new sheet metal fabrication opportunities, and build long-term relationships that lead to repeat business.

This position is ideal for someone who already understands the HVAC and sheet metal industry, is comfortable approaching contractors in person, and knows how to turn new contacts into lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities

- Travel throughout assigned cities and territories to meet with HVAC, mechanical, and sheet metal contractors.
- Visit contractor offices, shops, and job sites to introduce our company and fabrication capabilities.
- Generate new leads and bring in sheet metal fabrication jobs and contractor accounts.
- Actively prospect for new customers rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with contractors.
- Follow up with prospective customers and maintain regular contact with existing accounts.
- Identify upcoming projects and opportunities where our fabrication services can be used.
- Promote our sheet metal products, custom fabrication capabilities, pricing, service, and turnaround times.
- Work with our internal team to communicate customer requirements and help move opportunities from initial contact to completed orders.




- Represent the company professionally while helping increase our presence and reputation throughout the HVAC industry.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective contractors, active opportunities, and existing accounts.

Requirements
- Previous HVAC and/or sheet metal industry experience is required.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and HVAC ductwork.
- Previous sales, estimating, contracting, fabrication, or field experience within the HVAC/sheet metal industry is strongly preferred.
- Existing relationships within the HVAC or mechanical contracting industry are an asset.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable approaching new contractors and businesses in person.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field.
- Willing and able to travel throughout various cities and sales territories.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills.

Compensation This is a commission-based sales position, with compensation directly tied to the business and sales you generate.

The position offers strong earning potential for someone who can develop contractor relationships, bring in fabrication work, and build a consistent book of business.

Specific commission structure will be discussed during the interview.

We are not looking for someone who simply takes orders. We are looking for a proactive outside salesperson who understands the HVAC and sheet metal industry and is willing to get out into the market, meet contractors, build relationships, and create new business.
