Position Summary

Frankie's Organic is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Machine Operator to operate and monitor automated packaging equipment in our food manufacturing facility. The operator will ensure products are packaged safely, accurately and efficiently while meeting quality, food-safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, operate and monitor automated packaging equipment, including vertical form-fill-seal machines, multihead weighers, conveyors, metal detectors and checkweighers.

- Adjust machine settings based on product and packaging specifications.

- Load packaging film and verify coding, labels, weights and seal integrity.

- Perform changeovers, start-up checks and routine equipment adjustments.

- Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical or packaging issues.

- Complete quality inspections and production documentation.

- Monitor product giveaway and reduce packaging waste and downtime.

- Follow production schedules, specifications and standard operating procedures.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Follow GMP, HACCP, BRCGS, allergen-control,



health-and-safety and sanitation requirements.

- Communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisors and maintenance.

- Assist with cleaning, sanitation and preventive maintenance activities.

- Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating packaging or production machinery, preferably in food manufacturing.

- Experience with VFFS machines, multihead weighers or Ishida equipment is an asset.

- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced production environment.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality.

- Ability to read and complete production records.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [25–50 lb].

- Availability to work [shift details] and occasional overtime.

- English or French required; bilingualism is an asset.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
