Main Function
- Fitter C - Paint supports Fitter B – Paint in the preparation of containers and components for painting. Under supervision, the Fitter C – Paint may mask, tape, mix and apply surface coatings
Duties:
- Responsible for prep work on containers and components including but not limited to: masking, taping, sanding, and blasting, as appropriate
- Under supervision, may mix, primer and paint, in accordance with paint manufacture’s specifications
- Under supervision, may assist with paint application
- Apply undercoating Prepare parts and shelters to time, cost and quality
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Work in accordance with paint shop procedures (Housekeeping and valuable working practices)
- Due to projected manufacturing demands, there may be a requirement to work shifts and overtime, when required
- Assist other departments including assembly and warehouse, as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Employment Requirements:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Fire and Environment issues
- Proven experience in a professional paint spraying role, preferred
- Commitment to high quality workmanship
- Able to work well within a team and, following training, with minimal supervision
- Progressing toward Red Seal, Autobody Painter preferred
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and instructions
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.95 commensurate on qualifications and work experience.
