Position Details：

Position: Part-Time OSSD Business and Economics Teacher

Employment Type: Part-time Contractor

Teaching Format: In-person

Location: Near Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue, Toronto, Ontario

Compensation: CAD $45 per hour

Schedule: 3–4 days per week and approximately 3–4 hours per day. The final schedule will be arranged based on the school timetable and the teacher’s availability.

Start Time：September

Courses：

The successful candidate will teach OSSD business and economics courses, including but not limited to:

CIE3M — The Individual and the Economy

BBB4M — International Business Fundamentals

Other OSSD business, economics, or related courses as assigned

Key Responsibilities：

Plan and deliver OSSD business and economics courses in accordance with the Ontario curriculum;

Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, classroom activities, assignments, quizzes, and examinations;

Assess student achievement and provide timely, constructive feedback in accordance with school and Ontario assessment standards;

Adapt teaching strategies to meet students’ different learning needs and provide academic support where required;

Monitor and maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and academic progress;

Submit grades, course progress reports,



and required teaching materials to the academic department on time;

Participate in relevant academic meetings, course coordination, and student progress discussions as required.

Qualifications：

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Education, or a related field;

Previous experience teaching high school business or economics courses;

Familiarity with the OSSD system, Ontario curriculum expectations, and secondary-school assessment practices;

Ability to independently prepare lessons, deliver instruction, design assessments, and evaluate student achievement;

Robust English-language teaching, communication, and classroom-management skills;

Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain a consistent teaching schedule;

Ontario College of Teachers certification or another relevant teaching qualification is considered an asset;

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
