Vancouver’s original mom and pop donut shop, Lee’s Donuts served its first customers in the heart of Granville Island Public Market, in 1979. This position guarantees a minimum of one shift per week. There may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts based on availability and business needs.

As a Donut Server at Lee’s Donuts, you will play a crucial role in both providing top-notch customer service and adding artistic flair to our delicious donuts. Your responsibilities will include:

Compensation - Base Salary: $18.25/hour + tips!

Server Responsibilities

- Customer Service: Greet and serve customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
- Order Processing: Take accurate customer orders and efficiently process transactions using the Square POS system.
- Donut Presentation: Assist with displaying and arranging donuts in the showcase while maintaining company standards for presentation.
- Donut Decorating: Decorate donuts with icing, sprinkles, and other toppings according to company standards, with attention to detail and presentation.
- Upselling:



Recommend additional menu items and products when appropriate to enhance the customer experience and support sales.
- Quality Control: Ensure donuts and other products meet company standards for appearance, freshness, and presentation before being served to customers.

General Responsibilities

- Restocking: Monitor and restock donuts, packaging, supplies, and other products as needed to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the store, including the front counter, kitchen, bathroom, and surrounding areas.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong knowledge of Lee’s Donuts’ products, ingredients, flavors, and seasonal offerings.
- Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while following company procedures.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with team members to provide efficient service and maintain smooth daily operations.
- Customer Support: Respond to customer questions and requests in a helpful and professional manner.
- Store Support: Assist with opening, closing, and other store duties as required.
- Flexibility: Support other areas of the business when needed based on operational requirements.

Donut Decorating Responsibilities:

- Creativity and Precision:



Utilizing your artistic skills to decorate donuts to company standards with precision and creativity.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that decorated donuts meet the company’s visual and taste standards before they are served to customers.

Experience:

- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing workplace is an asset.
- Experience handling cash, credit, and debit transactions is preferred.
- Previous experience using a POS system, particularly Square, is an asset.
- Experience with food preparation, food handling, or donut decorating is an asset but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience working effectively as part of a team in a busy environment is preferred.
