Part-Time Electronics Buyer

PayMore Dartmouth is looking for a friendly, tech-savvy Part-Time Electronics Buyer to join our team!

If you're the person your friends come to when they want to know what their old iPhone, PlayStation, laptop, Nintendo Switch, or other electronics are worth, you might be a great fit for this role.

As a Buyer, your main responsibility will be evaluating electronics brought into our store, determining their condition and value, and making fair offers to customers. You'll be working directly with customers throughout the buying process, so being approachable, professional, and comfortable having conversations is just as important as knowing your tech.

This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys electronics, gaming, technology, and working with people.

What You'll Do

- Evaluate and purchase a wide variety of consumer electronics from customers
- Inspect and test phones, tablets, laptops, computers, gaming consoles, games, cameras, and other electronics
- Determine the condition and functionality value of devices
- Research products and current market pricing when necessary
- Make fair and competitive offers based on condition, demand, and resale value
- Explain offers clearly and professionally to customers
- Negotiate purchases while maintaining a positive customer experience
- Accurately enter purchases and product information into our systems
- Handle customer devices and personal information responsibly
- Keep the buying area organized and ensure devices are properly processed
- Stay up to date with new electronics, technology, gaming products, and market trends




- Assist with general store operations and customers when needed

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is:

- Tech-savvy and genuinely interested in electronics
- Comfortable identifying different phones, tablets, laptops, computers, gaming consoles, and other electronics
- Confident evaluating the condition and functionality of used devices
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable speaking with customers
- Able to negotiate respectfully and professionally
- Detail-oriented and accurate when handling purchases and entering information
- Comfortable making decisions and working independently
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Willing to learn — you don't need to know everything on day one

Previous retail, sales, electronics, repair, or buying experience is an asset, but we're more interested in your knowledge, attitude, and ability to learn.
