Role Description The Estimation & Costing Specialist is a part-time (16-20 hours/week) hybrid role with the majority of work done remotely and the balance done on-site at our Pitt Meadows, BC facility. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for custom and private label products, including raw materials, packaging, labour, and overhead inputs.

The Specialist collaborates with Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams to understand client requirements, interpret formulations, and create accurate quotations that align with company margin and pricing guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing specifications, validating supplier pricing,



updating costing models, and maintaining accurate data in internal systems. The role also supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying cost efficiencies, monitoring market trends affecting material costs, and communicating clear, timely information to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset, with the ability to review formulations, specifications, and documentation for accuracy
- Experience with cost estimation, pricing analysis, and financial modeling
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in food, supplements, or health products, and understanding of materials, packaging, and production workflows
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and Sage or similar ERP applications
- Lateral/critical thinker with problem solving and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Very organized and detail oriented
- Self-motivated and collaborative in a dynamic work environment
- Experience in GMP-regulated or FDA/NSF-certified environments is beneficial
