Part-Time Food & Beverage Server (Banquets & Dining Room)

The Thornhill Club is a year-round private club that offers golf, curling, fitness/wellness, tennis courts, and swimming pool/aquatics and activities. Yonge Street (near Hwy 407) in Thornhill, Ontario.

The Thornhill Club is looking for reliable, hardworking, and energetic Food & Beverage Servers to join our team. This is a year-round, part-time position that primarily supports banquet and special events, with opportunities to work in the Club's dining room as required.

The ideal candidate has previous banquet serving experience, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional service to our members and guests.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Set up banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and event equipment.
- Provide professional food and beverage service during banquets, weddings, corporate events, member functions, and other special events.
- Assist with dining room service when required.
- Clear and reset tables promptly while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Tear down and reset banquet rooms following events.
- Safely move and arrange tables, chairs, and other banquet equipment.
- Work closely with the Banquet Captain, Event Coordinator, kitchen team, and fellow servers to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Smart Serve standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a professional and friendly attitude.

Qualifications:





- Previous banquet serving experience is required.
- Restaurant or private club experience is considered an asset.
- Smart Serve Certification is required (or must be obtained before starting).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and moving tables, chairs, trays, and other banquet equipment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

This position provides a strong hourly wage, commensurate with experience, plus mandatory gratuities
