Looking For: Hard working and motivated primary/elementary school teacher to add to our growing team. Teacher will be required to support students with homework from school as well as plan individual and group lessons to help with early reading and math skills. The successful candidate must be familiar with the Ontario curriculum and capable of developing individualized lesson plans to support students who require additional assistance.

Candidate must be willing to learn our curriculum and work as part of a team. Teachers will be required to have strong classroom management skills while working with children ages 5-12. Candidate must be able to implement monthly, weekly and daily lesson plans and be willing to learn the Little Scholars curriculum.

We are looking for someone who is creative and can think outside of the box, who believes in the importance of education and is eager and excited to help students. Candidate must have very strong explicit English skills and have teaching experience. Teacher will be teaching an afterschool reading and homework club (grade 1-3) or (grade 3-5).

Working hours are from 3:00-6:15 or 6:30 with the possibility of extra hours in needed. This is a contract position until June 18, 2027. Option for full time summer hours from 9-4:30. (can be negotiated for the right candidate)

Must be willing to commit to the minimum contract period until June 18, 2027

Each student works at their own pace and teachers are required to plan their lessons accordingly. We believe students need to want to learn and be interested in what they are learning about. This is a process that cannot be forced yet needs to be instilled and if done correctly learning becomes fun and enjoyable.
