PART-TIME MACHINISTS and/or CNC OPERATORS

TrenTech Inc. established in 2011 is a custom machine fabrication shop delivering quality products to our valued customers. We are a busy shop looking to add some experienced, part-time machinists and/or CNC Operators to work independently on casual afternoon shifts a few days per week . This is a great opportunity for candidates who are semi-retired, or looking to add some hours to their week.

Depending on interest and the right candidate’s availability we will work out a functional schedule, but it might look like 3 to 5 hour shifts a few days per week.

The priority is to find 2-3 candidates who can work independently using either conventional type equipment such as boring mills, milling machines, lathes, drill press etc. and/or CNC operator experience.

Compensation to be discussed dependent upon experience and expertise.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years experience in custom machining using conventional type equipment such as boring mills, milling machines, lathes, drill press etc. and/or minimum 3 years experience programming and running CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings,



blueprints and safety rules with attention to detail
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have strong mathematical and mechanical skills
- Able to multi-task and meet production deadlines
- Must have excellent communication skills and a positive teamwork attitude
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs

Duties & Responsibilities
- Machining quality parts to our customer’s specifications
- Potential programming
- Loading and unloading parts
- Prep and finish (deburr) parts
- Inspect completed parts, QC to drawing
- Clean and maintain machine
- Maintain a clean, organized safe working area
- Understand all quality requirements for products and meet those requirements
- Observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations (including OHSA & WSIB) as well as establish workplace safety procedures
