We are a modern freestall dairy farm just outside of Hickson, ON (15 min north of Woodstock and 25 min south of Stratford). We milk 3 times a day in a double 8 parallel parlour. Milking times are 5:15am, 12:30pm and 7:30 pm.
Shifts are typically 3.5-4 hours and completed as a one person routine. We are looking for someone to milk Friday nights (7:30-11:15pm) as well as one Saturday night per month and 2 additional weekend morning/afternoon shifts per month (minimum 7 shifts per month). Additional shifts are available for night milkings, covering for current staff.
Starting wage at $90 per 3.5-4h milking shift ($22.50-$25.71/h). increases are given with good performance (+$100).
Milking is completed as a one person routine. Routine consists of pushing up feed with a skidsteer, bringing cows in, raking stalls, milking, and washing down.
Milking experience is an asset but as are willing to train the right individual.
