Are you a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Northumberland County looking for a change and a new opportunity or for additional work to top up your existing hours? We are hiring for part time and full time positions - days, evenings, weekends and overnights. We are also hiring in Brighton, Trenton and Belleville areas.

Join Flourish At Home – a locally owned and operated business in Northumberland County providing care to our clients in their homes. Minimum two hour shifts with above average pay.

Flourish At Home provides services to seniors to help them continue living safely and independently in their home. Personal care, light house-keeping, laundry, respite and companionship are some of the customized services provided to our clients.

Responsibilities

- Provide consistent, reliable personal care to clients in their home with compassion and dignity
- Assist clients with personal care and activities of of daily living
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules




- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Protect the health and safety of yourself and others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided
- Maintain confidentiality
- Observe, document and escalate any changes in client’s conditions
- Other duties relevant to the job as assigned

Experience

- Previous PSW experience in home care, long term care or other facilities
- Experience in meal preparation and medication administration
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques
